Yes, the grinning people in the pictures....
We are grinning because drag racing is
Heaven.
Drag racing is Heaven when your ET
improves, or when you win a race, or when the modification to your race car
worked just as you wanted.
We've had plenty to grin about over
the years.
But you could have found us in many
moments of Hell, although they are quickly forgotten when you're in Heaven.
Rick and Carla work together on the
car and also share the driving, gaining experience and insight as they
progress their racing.
Dave Buckland joined Heaven & Hell for the
last 3 races of 2007 and proved to be a great addition to the team.
Heaven & Hell are
very proud of their two National Championship
victories in Pro ET.
And, if possible, they are even more proud of having
managed a top 3 finish for the last 6 years - 2001 - 2007.
Plans for the 2008 season are rather
ambitious, but do not believe for a minute that they involve a different
class - Pro ET is the best class in the known universe! (and also in some
parts of the unknown, I'm told)

Carla & Rick would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to:
Bob and
Tracy Doyle for always being there for us whatever the need
Peter Lane for
advice and help over many years (and for towing us back after a crash on the
track when we still drove the Camaro to the Pod).
Dave Pollen
for teaching us the ropes when we didn't know our pinion from our ring gear.
Mike Lacey for
crewing for us for two years. Dave Buckland for
joining us in 2007 and working very hard.
Mr Double Entendre
John Reynolds for his help and his willingness to bear the bad times
as well as sharing the good in the Hockenheim races
.
Stuart Cree,
who has not raced for far too long and it's just about time he
stopped denying the world access to his Firebird, for his help and his
irrepressible compulsion to suggest, invent and install gadgets of any
description for the sake of it
Chief Starter Ian
Marshall for being the reassuring and competent professional he is,
for his fairness, dedication and commitment
Sharkman our
most favourite photographer Shark - now not too well - let's hope he's back
better than ever in 2008.
Tog and the team at
EURODRAGSTER
(Roger Gorringe, Simon Groves and Reserve Photographer Peter Donaldson),
for telling the world about drag racing and for firmly placing British Drag
Racing on the cyber world map.
John Price and
Graham Beckwith for their humour, enthusiasm
and support of the sport
Kenny Coleman
from EDA, and John Gianoli
from Reggie Jackson High Performance for
their help, advice and support.
Bob Regis from
the Escape from Reality team for building and maintaining the
Pro ET site at no charge
Carl Burton of
English Rose Tattoo for
selflessly promoting the whole Pro ET class with contingency sponsors
and finally, all Pro ET racers for being
the cherry on the cake, the olive in the Martini, the mince in the
bolognaise sauce: so much fun to race, hang about and get pissed with.
