THE HEAVEN & HELL TEAM                           More team photos below - added July 2008

Detailed information about the team, how we started etcetera can be found HERE

Drivers: Rick McCann and Carla Pittau

Rick and Carla are married, have 7 children (A 1970 Camaro, a 1984 Camaro, a 1970 Pontiac Catalina, a 1965 Ford Econoline, a 1997 Pontiac Firebird, a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado and a Black & White Moggy called Pontiac. They also foster a ginger Tabby called Nitro Ginger.

Rick and Carla share all work to the cars as well as the driving.

(BTW: To answer the question of why we do not share a surname being married, the reason is that we got married in Italy, where you have to ask specifically for this, as the State assumes that when you get married you do not necessarily lose your identity.)

Pit and start line crew: Dave Buckland with wife Chris

Dave joined us in 2007 and soon proved himself to be a great addition to the team. An ex-AA engineer, he is definitely a "very nice man".

He's currently helping to get the second car ready to play and works very hard to achieve that goal.

Wife Chris is in charge of start line photography, catering and general Chief Calmer Downer.

Dave's current job involves making sure that old Jags don't go to the great Motorway in the sky but continue to cruise, young and beautiful again.

Pit and start line crew: Jemma Harrison

Jemma first crewed for us when Reserve Driver Tog took the wheel of Heaven & Hell at the Flame & Thunder meeting in November 2007.

She has an enthusiastic and bubbly personality and isn't afraid to chip in and help.

Jemma has a young baby at home and works part time, likes to party and a good laugh, so she fits in with the team very well.

Reserve Driver: Tog (aka Andy Rogers)

Honorary Team Member and Reserve Driver Tog has been trusted with our pride and joy twice, and he made us proud both times.

His current PB is 9.79 with wheels well up. If we had 3 cars (I know, I know) he would for sure be the third driver..

Tog has been going drag racing since 1977 and when not driving other people's race cars or doing his day job he is News Editor of Eurodragster.com known to all as the fastest place in cyberspace and the best drag racing news site in the known universe, as well as some parts of the unknown.

Honorary Team members Colin and Grace Roaf

Father and daughter Colin and Grace are more than just hard core drag racing fans, they actively support their favourite sport in any way they can.

Colin returned to drag racing with then 9 year old Grace in 2005, after a few years absence, and got involved with Heaven & Hell after a fortuitous encounter at the London Motor Museum which resulted in a passenger ride.

An auto-electrician by trade, Colin is now our willing victim-consultant on wiring matters and has also helped a lot with the Heaven & Hell As Well project, spending a weekend of forced labour at the Heaven & Hell Headquarters..

We are proud to count both Colin and Grace as members of Team Heaven & Hell.

Honorary Team member Corrado Pittau

Corrado is Carla's brother and a bit of a mad scientist. An electronics engineer by trade, he just needs to read a book to understand exactly how a hydraulic transmission works and explain it to Carla who has rebuilt a few several times. (Or a book on quantum mechanics, or on entomology, or ballistics... etc..)

Corrado's day job is maintaining and repairing electronic diagnostic and surgical equipment for a major hospital in Genova, Italy, but he finds time to be of help to the team even on the phone, as well as physically crewing at the Easter Meeting in 2001 and hopefully he will find time to be with us at least at one race in the 2008 season.
